HOW WE
HELP

Post-Surgical Recovery

Knee surgeries, amputation recovery and compensation prevention , slow recovery after abdominal surgeries, and many other surgical outcomes improve with veterinary rehabilitation therapy.

Canine Anxiety Disorder

Anxious and fearful behaviors are common in canine patients and often manifest as separation anxiety, storm and noise phobia, or aggression. Short-term stress response is healthy and necessary, allowing dogs to be alert and take action. However, when the response is prolonged (eg, a season-long storm phobia or panic every time an owner leaves), physical and emotional pathologic conditions may ensue, potentially shortening the dog’s lifespan.

Canine Cognitive Dysfunction

Canine cognitive dysfunction (CCD) is a behavioral syndrome that affects old dogs. They show behavioral alterations such as disorientation, altered interactions with owners, other pets and the environment, sleep-wake cycle disturbance, house-soiling and changes in activity. They may have severely impaired cognitive function that is considered to be similar to dementia in humans. As a caregiver, you don't have to go through this alone.

Chronic Health Conditions

From a non-surgical luxating patella to elbow/hip dysplasia and more, many medical conditions are not always surgical, but they do need to be treated in a way to decrease long term painful side-effects. We can get your kiddo moving in the right direction and give you the power to know how to continue helping them through out their lives.

Senior Maintenance Care

As our pets age, they can begin to develop conditions that can interfere with their mobility and enjoyment of daily activities. This can lead to further muscle loss and weakness. The combination of pain, muscle loss and weakness lead to a downward spiral of the patient’s quality of life. Our goal is to keep your senior pet happy, comfortable and functional so that you can spend as much quality time with them as you can. We love our geriatric patients!

Non-Aggressive Reactivity

Canine reactivity due to overstimulation, anxiety, and such is a very common issue today. Whether it be from lack of proper socialization, a traumatic event, or abnormal mental conditions, our dogs have the right to learn how to have a calm, controlled experience when meeting others. Kalina often helps with these cases on an as needed basis when appropriate.

Fitness Training/ Injury Prevention

If you have a pet that has a hard time getting enough exercise at home and needs to lose a few pounds – we can help! We can take appropriate steps with diet and exercise to help your pet reach the desired goal weight. We will design an in-gym and at home exercise program for your pet. We will also formulate a diet plan based on your pet’s current and goal weight. If your pet is already at goal weight but needs to become stronger, more agile and perform better – we have what you need. We focus on challenging our super fit athletes in a safe and productive manner for better results with the task at hand.

General Behaviors For Well Balanced Lifestyle

We want you to be able to have as much quality time with your pet physically and mentally. Unfortunately, there are some general inappropriate behaviors that may not seem critical, but do affect our ability to live comfortably with our companions. Also, adventuring isn't safe if certain behaviors are not consistently expected and trained. Leave-It, Wait, Come-When-Called, and other behaviors are required for a safe and fun time outside or when spending time with others. Let's make a training plan together to help get you and your companion out more, safely!
